Browns defensive end Myles Garrett gave Sanders his props after the game.

"I think he did well. He came up big when we needed him to. He looked composed, escaped out of some sacks, broke the pocket. Made some big time plays."

Shedeur Sanders shone in his third professional start. The Colorado Buffaloes product sliced and diced the Tennessee Titans' defense, and he did his best to secure a win at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio.

However, the game came down to a botched 2-point conversion play called by the Browns' coaching staff in the last minute. Sanders was taken out, and rookie running back Quinshon Judkins got the ball as a wildcat quarterback. The Titans forced the turnover, sealing the Browns' 10th loss of the season.

Shedeur Sanders outplayed the first pick in the Week 14 loss

Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders were two of the most promising quarterbacks entering the 2025 draft. The Tennessee Titans drafted Cam Ward with the first overall pick, while the Cleveland Browns chose Sanders in the fifth round. Their Week 14 showdown was the first time both QBs faced off as professionals.

Ward's Titans won the game, but Shedeur Sanders had the better individual stats. He amassed a stat line of 117 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception, while Sanders closed out with 364 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, one rushing TD and an interception.

Sanders has performed admirably despite trying circumstances in Cleveland. He has a stat line of 769 passing yards, five passing touchdowns and three interceptions in four games, and he's brought a breath of fresh air to that franchise's offense. His performance against the Titans received acclaim on social media and among fellow professionals.

Sanders and the Browns' next game is against the Chicago Bears. They'll then close out the season with games against the Bills, Steelers and Bengals.
