"My parents divorced" - Kayla Nicole gets brutally honest about being raised without father at home

Kayla Nicole lived a tough life growing up. At an early age, the influencer's parents decided to divorce, which led to many struggles later on in her life. She was raised in a single-parent household, with her mother playing the role of primary caretaker for the family.

While Nicole has been quite conscious about not discussing her private life publicly, the former NFL reporter reflected back on her childhood during an exclusive interview with Sheen Magazine on Wednesday. She talked about what it was like growing up in a home without a father.

"My dad was around, but I was raised primarily by my mom in a single-parent household," Nicole said. "She worked tirelessly — from sunup to sundown — and my grandmother played a huge role in raising me. She took care of me after school and taught me everything from personal grooming to penmanship."

Kayla also shared how she "also grew up in the church." A good portion of her childhood was spent in the church, which ended up building a "strong foundation" of faith in her heart. Apart from her mother and grandma, the household she grew up in also had her four sisters.

"Being raised in a family of strong women inspired my desire to uplift and serve women," Nicole said.

In addition to being an influencer, Kayla Nicole has been pursuing her acting career. While she has yet to make her mega onscreen debut with movies or web shows, she has been actively dedicated to her passion. In another segment of the aforementioned interview, Nicole talked about her passion for acting and storytelling.

"Acting connects directly to storytelling — it’s just a more artistic expression of it," Nicole said. "Every time I act, I get nervous, but those nerves remind me I’m doing something right. I love character development, studying scripts, and diving into new realities."

Kayla Nicole further expressed her desire to star in a major motion picture or an action movie. She has been training for roles in such genres of films and would definitely love to convert an acting opportunity into a full-fledged role.
