Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby has hit back at analyst Mike Florio over the analyst's claims about the team firing Chip Kelly as the team's offensive coordinator. The Raiders fired Kelly on Sunday night after their loss to the Cleveland Browns, and Florio used Crosby's comments on the decision on Monday to seemingly fit a narrative for an article on the story. However, Crosby hit back at Florio on Tuesday while discussing his respect for Kelly."I got a ton of respect for Chip," Crosby said. "I don't know how, possibly, Mike Florio or whatever those guys try to make a headline and try to make it seem like we need to move on. It's not what I said. Me and Chip have a great relationship. Obviously, didn't work out, but we're trying to figure it out and find solutions."The Raiders hired Kelly in the offseason, after he served as Ohio State's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach to win a national championship last season. However, Kelly was unable to work his magic in Las Vegas. Raiders quarterback Geno Smith has a league-high 13 interceptions, while rookie running back Ashton Jeanty has struggled for consistency.Entering Week 12, Kelly's Raiders averaged 15.5 points on offense per game. They posted 10 points in the loss to the Browns.Maxx Crosby's Raiders will face the LA Chargers in Week 13 of the 2025 NFL seasonNFL: Las Vegas Raiders DE Maxx Crosby - Source: ImagnMaxx Crosby's Raiders (2-9) will face the LA Chargers (7-4) in Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday.
