Marshawn Kneeland's girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, opened up on Monday about the Dallas Cowboys defensive end's death. "You will never be forgotten. I’ll love you forever, my sweet angel."Exploring Marshawn Kneeland’s cause of deathMarshawn Kneeland was involved in a car chase with Texas police on Nov. 5. The Cowboys defensive end was driving at 145 mph, according to Fox4 News. Police followed Kneeland, assuming that the car was stolen. However, the chase ended when they lost track of him.Kneeland's car was found crashed into a Ford F-350 truck 15 minutes later. A full-scale search was done using drones and K-9 units. He was found dead in a portable restroom inside an office complex at around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 6. The cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Frisco Police Department.The police also reported that Kneeland's family and girlfriend reached out to them with concerns about his safety. They were worried for him as he sent them goodbye messages at around 11:45 p.m., almost two hours before his death.Kneeland's girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, reunited with his family a week later to "grieve hard."
