Sanchez allegedly attacked Tole, who then stabbed the former signal-caller multiple times during the struggle. The ex-New York Jets quarterback is facing multiple charges, including felony battery for the incident.

Earlier this week, Sanchez's legal team submitted an unopposed request for a continuance, which the court granted, according to NBC Sports. Sanchez's criminal trial was set to take place on Dec. 11, but has reportedly been moved to March 12, 2026. A final pre-trial conference is scheduled for March 3.

During a hearing on Oct. 22, Sanchez’s lawyers said the former NFL QB was “still recovering” from injuries due to the incident in Indianapolis, and “that process is ongoing and may impact some of the dates” the court had previously set.

"We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network," a Fox Sports spokesperson said in a statement to NBC News on Nov. 7. "There will be no further comment at this time.”

Sanchez was in Indianapolis to work for Fox's broadcast for the Las Vegas Raiders-Colts Week 5 game at Lucas Oil Stadium when he had a brawl with Tole.

After Fox moved on from Sanchez, the network hired Drew Brees as his replacement.

Sanchez played in the NFL for 10 years. The New York Jets took him in the first round of the 2009 draft. He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and the then-Washington Redskins. He finished his career with 15,357 passing yards, 86 touchdowns and 89 interceptions.
