The Philadelphia Eagles lost for a third consecutive week after a 22-19 defeat against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been criticized for his disastrous outing against the Chargers.
Hurts, who has been going through a slump over the last few weeks, made unwanted history on Monday. During the second quarter, Hurts threw an interception to Chargers defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand, who fumbled his return.
Although Hurts recovered the ball, he fumbled it back to the Chargers after being hit, becoming the first player in NFL history to commit two turnovers on the same play.
Former Eagles Pro Bowler Jason Kelce and his brother, Travis, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, discussed Hurts' performance against the Chargers on their "New Heights" podcast.

"There were a lot of what the f*ck plays, and Hurts actually became the first player since 1978 with two turnovers on the same play, which tells you how rare that sh*t is when it happens, but six in the second quarter alone is f*cking ridiculous," Travis said (16:51 onwards).
Hurts had one of the worst performances of his career against the Chargers, throwing a career-worst four interceptions on Monday.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts admitted mistakes after disastrous outing against Chargers
Jalen Hurts committed five turnovers against the Chargers, the joint most by an Eagles player in NFL history. Following the game, Hurts admitted his mistakes that cost the team a third consecutive defeat.
"I didn't play well enough. Too many turnovers," Hurts said. "Lots of opportunities, especially when we get on the other side of the 50 and I wasn't able to get us in the box."
While the Eagles lost for a third consecutive game, Hurts is confident in the team's ability to dig deep and bounce back.
"It definitely stings," Hurts said. "But how do you respond? That's the only way I know how to look at it. You're going to see what type of resolve does this team have ... what's in us to respond the way we want to. We've just got to dig."
The Eagles remain at the top of the NFL East with an 8-5 record, with the Dallas Cowboys close behind with a 6-6-1 record.
