Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph took aim at the officials after Detroit lost 30-17 at the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. Kansas City won the game with zero penalties.On X, Joseph shared several tweets that detailed plays made by the Chiefs that were not flagged. He also reposted memes making fun of the referees.Compared to the Chiefs, the Lions had four penalties for 38 yards.One of the most notable ones took place in the first quarter.Quarterback Jared Goff had caught a touchdown pass from running back David Montgomery. However, the officials called illegal motion on Goff. The touchdown was nullified, and it was a nonreviewable play. NBC rules analyst Terry McAulay, a former referee, said that Goff needed to step back and pause to establish himself as a back after beginning the play behind the center.Detroit settled for a field goal for a 3-0 lead with 5:21 left in the first quarter.The loss ended the Lions' four-game winning streak. Detroit last lost 27-13 to the Green Bay Packers in its season opener last month.Kerby Joseph ended with four total tackles. The safety suffered an injury scare during the second quarter. He was temporarily removed from the game as he tested his knee on the sidelines. The Lions said that he was questionable to return.
