Trevor Lawrence tried his best to help the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Houston Texans on Sunday. They had a 19-point lead entering the fourth quarter. However, things took a turn from that point. The offense lost all its momentum and Lawrence failed to move the ball, as Houston rallied to win 36-29.

"If this team moves on from Trevor I would be a little sad but I'd completely understand. Trevor did not play well today, and has been meh most of this season. But in all fairness, our defense is still bad, and the refs screwed up multiple time today," another fan said.

"I'd be mad too if I lost to a 2nd string also," this fan wrote.

In the fourth quarter, the Jaguars had just 1 yard on offense. Trevor Lawrence could not make use of the three possessions they had and convert them into first-down chances.

The lackluster performance by the Jaguars gave the Texans a chance to capitalize. Davis Mills scored three total touchdowns in the fourth quarter to help Houston win.

Lawrence completed 13 of 23 passes for 158 yards and just one touchdown. He threw one interception and was sacked five times.

Retired NFL LB Jason Cabinda blames Trevor Lawrence for Jaguars' struggles

On Sunday's episode of "NFL on CBS" after the Texans vs. Jaguars game, Jason Cabinda went all guns blazing on Lawrence. He said that the quarterback was the biggest problem and deserved the backlash and blame for the team's struggles.

"I just think we don't talk ... about the Trevor Lawrence problem," Cabinda said. "If things go wrong with Trevor Lawrence, for some reason, somehow, somewhere, we find somewhere else to point besides the quarterback, besides the $100 million quarterback. ... When games like this happen, I don't understand why do we not point a finger at Trevor Lawrence. I'm just tired of it."

Lawrence is in the middle of his five-year $275 million extension he signed with the team in April 2024. The Jaguars (5-4) are second behind the Indianapolis Colts (8-2) in the AFC South.
