In a tweet he shared on X, the former three-time All-Pro defended his own NFL career while highlighting some of his accomplishments during his 11-season stint.

"Lol kid hasn't done enough to merit a response from me. I was working on my 3rd consecutive 1st team All pro and 2nd SB appearance at the same point in my career. Lol I made an All-Pro team and SB in SF but that's the fall off for me," Sherman tweeted.

George Pickens put up an underwhelming performance during the Cowboys' 44-30 loss to the Detroit Lions on Thursday. He tallied just 37 receiving yards for five catches and no touchdowns.

During the game's broadcast, Richard Sherman criticized Pickens' performance and questioned whether he deserved a contract extension from Jerry Jones' team.

"George Pickens, throughout the game, especially late in the game, just looked uninterested in playing football," Sherman said. "And that's what you can't have if you're going to be a superstar, if you want to be the best receiver in National Football League, you can never be disengaged. Doesn't matter if the game is going your way or not going your way. You can't just disappear in these games, or else you're not going to have impact.

"And if you're the Dallas Cowboys, and you're looking at him and you're looking to pay him big time receiver money, $40 million, you got to look at this tape and say, 'Hey, is this a guy we can trust paying $40 million to show up, regardless of circumstance?' I don't know."

George Pickens responded to Richard Sherman's criticism while throwing shade at his career and stating that he was successful because of the "Legion of Boom."

"This is a team game lmao I'm not the only one on the team," Pickens said in a now-deleted IG story. "I thought former players would know that as such. RICHARD P***Y A** SHERMAN WHO BTW AINT SHH WITHOUT THE LEGION OF BOOM WE ALL REMEMBER SAN FRANCISCO BROTHER."
