The sequence started when Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders scrambled to avoid pressure and got the ball to Harold Fannin Jr. The tight end fought through a tackle and gained 18 yards on third-and-20. It moved Cleveland to Tennessee's 44-yard line facing fourth-and-2.

The Browns then took a delay of game penalty. Stefanski let the clock run down instead of going for it, moving his team back to fourth-and-7. The Titans lined up offside before the punt, which would've given Cleveland a first down at fourth-and-2. However, since the delay happened first, accepting the offside would only make it fourth-and-2 again, not an automatic first.

The rookie also ran twice for 22 yards, leading the Browns in rushing. He had a passer rating of 147.3 through two quarters. His biggest plays were a 58-yard connection with running back Quinshon Judkins on a screen and a 60-yard touchdown to Jerry Jeudy.

Sanders threw a perfect ball to Jeudy, who beat his defender and outran two Tennessee players into the end zone. The score gave Cleveland a 17-14 advantage at the break.
