The Minnesota Vikings chose to hand the QB1 job to J.J. McCarthy rather than attempting to land Aaron Rodgers in the offseason. She added that the Vikings quarterback would have benefited from learning from Rodgers rather than being thrust immediately into the starting role.Adams has the utmost belief in McCarthy, but she said he has failed to deliver in Minnesota's Super Bowl window. Adams questioned whether the Vikings front office made a mistake by betting on the 2024 first-round pick.Minnesota is 2-4 this season with McCarthy under center. McCarthy took the Vikings QB mantle after missing his rookie season due to a right meniscus tear. He started this season with a 27-24 win over the Chicago Bears. McCarthy also suffered a high right ankle sprain that kept him sidelined for five games. He led the team to a win over the Lions upon his return, but has suffered three consecutive losses since.The quarterback was placed in concussion protocol on Monday, following the 23-6 loss to the Green Bay Packers. McCarthy is doubtful for Minnesota's game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13.
