Allen came all guns blazing in the second half. He connected with Dawson Knox for his second touchdown. Cook made his second trip to the end zone to reduce the deficit to just three points eight minutes later. Allen completed the comeback minutes into the fourth quarter, throwing a 14-yard touchdown pass to Knox.
However, the celebration was short-lived as Henderson sprinted to the end zone for a 65-yard touchdown just a few seconds later.
Cook spoiled the party for New England, rushing in for an 11-yard touchdown with seven minutes remaining. The Bills needed to win the game to save their division title streak, and the reigning NFL MVP understood the task well.
Josh Allen on facing Drake Maye
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was full of praise for Drake Maye ahead of the Week 15 game. The Patriots signal-caller is among the frontrunners for the NFL MVP award alongside Allen and Matthew Stafford.
“He’s playing like a veteran quarterback, he’s seeing things extremely well, he plays at a great pace, looks like things have slowed down for him," Allen said to reporters on Thursday.
"We hate to see that. But, I’m happy for how well he’s playing because he’s a great human being on top of being a football player. We just need to figure out how to secure a victory on Sunday.”
Maye also revealed that he is a huge fan of Allen off the field. He said the Bills superstar is fun to watch and called him one of the best players in the league.
