Josh Allen may be losing patience with one of his offensive weapons after what transpired on Sunday.Wide receiver Keon Coleman caught three passes for 46 yards and a touchdown at the Miami Dolphins as the Buffalo Bills suffered a stunning 30-13 loss to one of the league's worst teams. After the game, his quarterback was asked about whether he was maximizing his chances. After a lengthy pause, Allen had this snide remark:"He got one today, so yeah."Jay Skurski @JaySkurskiLINKJosh Allen when asked if Keon Coleman is doing enough with the chances he’s been getting: *long pause* “He got one today, so yeah.”He lamented that the Dolphins (3-7) simply wanted the win more than the Bills (6-3) did:"They came ready to play. ... I gotta be better. Gotta be better in the protection game, in the pass game, in the run game, all of it."Allen finished with 28 completions for 306 yards and two touchdowns against an interception. The Dolphins, meanwhile, were buoyed by running back De'Von Achane, who rushed 22 times for 174 yards and a touchdown, more than offsetting a mediocre performance by Tua Tagovailoa (15 of 21 for 173 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions).ALSO READ: Sean McDermott seemingly takes aim at OC Joe Brady over Bills' offensive struggles in blowout loss vs. DolphinsBills HC Sean McDermott frustrated with Josh Allen’s passing attack after loss at DolphinsMeanwhile, Sean McDermott struggled to accurately describe what has been ailing Josh Allen’s once-heroic exploits in the air.The quarterback has been surprisingly sitting outside the top 10 in individual passing yardage, while the Bills as a whole are outside the top 10 in total passing yards.Their struggles were really highlighted against one of the weaker defenses in the league, and the coach highlighted it in his postgame presser:“First, identifying what’s causing us to get behind the sticks. Is it penalties, is it negative plays and how they’re being created? Secondly, is getting back on track. It’s hard to convert third-and-11-plus in this league. Just too many third-and-longs and one-dimensional situations.”Nevertheless, the numbers do not worry him:“I’m worried about moving the ball, controlling the game, playing our style of football on a more consistent basis. … We’ve got a great quarterback, and you want to be able to move the ball two dimensionally. We should be able to move the ball with Josh through the air. But it can’t just be one phase of your offense.”The Bills next host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
