Jordan Love makes feelings known on facing Aaron Rodgers as Packers QB defeats former mentor

Aaron Rodgers went up against Jordan Love, the quarterback who replaced him in Green Bay, as the Pittsburgh Steelers took on the Packers last Sunday. Love led his team to a 35-25 victory, crushing the veteran QB's dream of registering a win over all 32 NFL teams.

Love opened up on Monday about facing the four-time NFL MVP.

"Yeah, like I said before, you know it's going to be a big game," Love said, via the "Up & Adams" show. "You know this week that's going to be the most talked about game of the week of A-Rod playing the Packers for the first time. Obviously, us going against each other, me being behind him for three years and learning. And so you know what the weekend tells."

Love was grateful to be out there on the field with Rodgers and seeing him on the other side. He reflected on all of his memories with the veteran.

"I got so much respect for A-Rod and our time together, and I learned so much," Love said.

"And, you know, I wouldn't be the player I am without having that time behind him and learning and watching him play. But definitely, you know, you want to go out there and get that win. And, you know, I think for him, he was trying to go out there and be the player to beat every team in the NFL."

Love completed 29 of 37 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Rodgers went 24 of 36 for 219 yards and two touchdowns.

Jordan Love addresses Aaron Rodgers jersey swap controversy

A postgame video of Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love went viral after the Green Bay Packers’ 35-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday. It sparked rumors that Rodgers declined a jersey swap with his former backup.

Cameras captured their brief interaction, but there was no visible exchange. However, Love cleared the air on Monday, confirming that they swapped jerseys after.

“I told him I needed that jersey,” Love said, via the "Up & Adams" show. “He said he’ll send it to the locker room.. I got that jersey. Definitely something that will be hanging on my wall. I’m really grateful for that moment.”

Rodgers said ahead of the game that the Packers have always been "weird" about swapping jerseys, but he would like to do so with Love.
