In the postgame press conference, the quarterback was asked how he handled these types of situations where, even after scoring 33+ points, the Bengals end up losing.

Joe Burrow responded by talking about his mental growth and maturity while expressing his gratitude for being able to play as a quarterback in the NFL.

"I think I've matured this year and gained some perspective on everything when I was out (with an injury)," Burrow said. "I'm just grateful to be out there and be a quarterback in the NFL and be one of the best.

Before returning from injury last week, the quarterback did not blame the coaching staff for the team's disappointing 2025 campaign.

Burrow said that it is also the players' responsibility to work and to turn things around.

"We have good coaches," Burrow said. "There's not a scheme in the NFL that is so revolutionary that it's going to completely change the way a player plays.
"Coaches work really hard and are smart. They work a lot of hours to put players in a position to make plays. At the end of the day, you have to make plays and you have to play great within that system. At the end of the day, players have to take some accountability and go play really good."
