Myles Garrett was one of the better performers for the Cleveland Browns in their 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11 on Sunday. Garrett recorded five solo tackles, 4.0 sacks and one stuff against the Ravens, but that wasn't enough for him to win the AFC Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Instead, Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks earned the honor for Week 11, after posting 20 tackles (10 solo) and one stuff against the Washington Commanders to lead his team to a 16-13 overtime win.
When former NFL defensive end and three-time Defensive Player of the Year, JJ Watt, found out that Garrett was snubbed for the AFC Defensive Player of the Week, he voiced his opinion on the matter.
"The requirement that your team win the game for you to win an individual award is very bizarre. It’s best defensive player of the week. Not best defensive player whose offense also played well this week," Watt tweeted on Wednesday.

Garrett had requested a trade away from Cleveland in the offseason. However, the Browns managed to convince him to remain with the team after offering him a four-year, $160 million contract extension.
Garrett has amassed 39 tackles (29 solo), 15.0 sacks and one forced fumble for Cleveland this season.
Garrett recorded 5.0 sacks vs. the New England Patriots in Week 8, 1.0 against the New York Jets in Week 10, and added 4 more in Week 11 against the Ravens, bringing him to 10.0 sacks across three games.
