Jerry Jones's team continues to improve its game with each passing day. On Thanksgiving, the Dallas Cowboys secured a 31-28 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in a high-octane Week 13 showdown.

Following this team, the Cowboys are now 6-5-1 with a three-game winning streak. In the post-game press conference, Jerry Jones was asked to share his thoughts on his team's playoff chances this season following Thursday's victory.

"I think we got, with Detroit coming up here this week. We have, but we can take a lot more about it," Jones said. "More so from the team and and the way we're playing, that I do the job we got ahead of us relative to ones wins and losses.

"The way this team is playing, I think we've got a team that can sustain this. And then if we get a shot at it, can deserve to be there."

The Chiefs took an early lead in the first quarter after Patrick Mahomes found Rashee Rice with a 27-yard passing touchdown. Harrison Butker's extra point conversion gave them a 7-0 lead. However, Dak Prescott's 15-yard TD pass to CeeDee Lamb leveled the playing field.

Mahomes found another TD pass before the end of the first quarter when he connected with veteran TE Travis Kelce. However, in the second quarter, the Cowboys offense finally found its footing.

Bradon Aubrey scored a 49-yard field goal, followed by a 43-yard rushing touchdown by RB Malik Davis. This helped Jerry Jones' team secure a 17-14 lead at halftime.

In the second half. Brandon Aubrey converted two more field goals while Dak Prescott found RB Javonte Williams with a three-yard passing TD. Patrick Mahomes did score two touchdowns of his own. However, it was not enough for the Chiefs to clinch the win.

After the game, the Cowboys quarterback and a few other players joined CBS Sports' Tracy Wolfson for a sideline interview.

The quarterback was named the John Madden Thanksgiving MVP. He was then asked to rank this year's game against the Chiefs among the five Thanksgiving games he's won so far in his career with his team.

"At the top of it," Prescott said. "Definitely does. Just being able to play this game with these guys, you see this brotherhood, how much it means, what we've been through this year. But the way we're able to show our resilience, keep fighting. Now this is our third in a row. We can do anything that's in front of us.

Dak Prescott completed 27 of 39 passes for 320 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception against the Chiefs.

The Cowboys are next scheduled to face the Detroit Lions next Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET.
