Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels sustained a knee injury in the defeat to the Green Bay Packers last Thursday. While he was able to play most of the game, his status for their Week 3 clash with the Las Vegas Raiders is in doubt.Commanders coach Dan Quinn provided an update on Daniels' condition on Wednesday."So Jaden had a good rehab session today," Quinn told reporters. "He also threw out on the field. He won't practice today and then as we get into Friday, I'll give you an assessment of where we're at."we're also going to be smart, not just fast in this assessment. This is a player that's absolutely wanting to do everything all the time."If Daniels is ruled out, backup quarterback Marcus Mariota will likely start for Washington against Las Vegas. Mina Kimes on the one thing Jayden Daniels needs to stop doingIn his young NFL career, Jayden Daniels has already developed a style of play that involves him taking a lot of contact from opposing defenses. This is something that ESPN analyst Mina Kimes thinks could be detrimental to his career in the long run."My concern with this…is more about Jayden Daniels’ career," she said on "ESPN Live" this week. "He has to take less contact. Through the first two weeks of the season, he leads all quarterbacks in QB contact. 29, both as a passer (with) QB hits, and scrambling.”The more hits a QB takes, the greater the chance of a long-term injury. For Daniels, who relies on his mobility and athleticism, a serious injury could severely impact his career going forward.
