Jaxson Dart praised Russell Wilson's veteran leadership on Wednesday. During media availability, the New York Giants quarterback discussed his relationship with the Super Bowl XLVIII champion alongside Jameis Winston, who won a national championship and a Heisman Trophy for the Florida State Seminoles."I kind of see it as I've got two big brothers in the room," Dart said. "Russ might reach a little bit of unc status a little bit. But they're both my big brothers out there."The wisdom they shed off on me is huge. They've done it for a long time, and they've succeeded at the highest level. So, I'm in a very unique situation to have those guys, and we have great relationships off the field, too. So, really just blessed and grateful to have those guys in the room."The Giants drafted Jaxson Dart, who is 22, with the 25th pick in this year's draft out of Ole Miss. They also brought in Russell Wilson, who will turn 37 in late November, and Jameis Winston, who will turn 32 in January, in March.Brian Daboll used Wilson, a 10-time Pro Bowler, as the QB1 at the start of the season. However, after a three-game losing streak, the Giants replaced him with Jaxson Dart.The rookie has helped the team to a 2-6 record. They are on a two-game losing streak heading into Sunday's showdown against the San Francisco 49ers. Jaxson Dart has tallied 984 yards and eight TDs passing while rushing for 195 yards and four touchdowns.Jaxson Dart gets real about Cam Skattebo's presence at Giants facility after injuryAnother rookie who has been impressive for the Giants is running back Cam Skattebo. However, he suffered a dislocated ankle during their 38-20 loss against the Eagles on Sunday.Skattebo underwent surgery for the injury, but is expected to miss four to six months of action, sidelining him for the rest of the season.On Wednesday, Jaxson Dart opened up about the rookie RB's return to the team's facility."That was good ... Like, he's going to hate sitting at home and whatnot, so I'm sure he'll be around here a lot. It was good to see his face for sure," Dart said.Cam Skattebo has been a crucial part of the offense this season, rushing for 410 yards and five touchdowns.The Giants vs. 49ers showdown kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
