The New York Giants' third consecutive loss led to Jaxson Dart, a rookie quarterback, being asked if he felt the pressure to save Brian Daboll's job. They are at 2-7 after Sunday's 34-24 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

This loss further raises questions about Daboll's job security. He is 20-39-1 as the Giants' coach, and needs a massive turnaround in the remaining eight regular-season games to avoid being fired. If he fails to do so, the Giants are on track for their third-straight losing season under him.

"I can only control what I can control," Dart said. "I don't want to look at things at way. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself in any regard. I just want to live in the moment that I have. I want to take advantage of the opportunities that I have."

Dart also highlighted his belief that his team is good enough to win the games that they have this season. He said that they need to "find ways" to "make enough plays to win" games. He also stated how coaches only call plays from the sidelines, but it's the responsibility of the players to make those plays work on the field.

Brian Daboll has been on the hot seat since the beginning of the season. After a 0-3 start under veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, he decided to bring in Jaxson Dart as the QB1. The rookie has been somewhat of a saving grace for Daboll, helping the Giants to a 2-7 record.

Since taking over the team in 2022, Daboll has made just one playoff appearance. Last season, they finished fourth in the NFC East with a disappointing 3-14 record.

How well did Jaxson Dart play against the 49ers?

Jaxson Dart put up a decent performance despite Sunday's loss to the 49ers. The rookie quarterback completed 24 of 33 passes for 191 yards and three total touchdowns. However, it was not enough to help his team win.

This season, Dart has tallied 1,175 yards and 10 passing touchdowns, along with five rushing touchdowns to his name.

The Giants are on a three-game losing streak, raising more questions about Brian Daboll's status as the head coach of the team. They are next scheduled to face the Chicago Bears on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
