Shedeur Sanders put up an underwhelming showcase during Sunday's 31-3 loss to the Chicago Bears on the road. The rookie quarterback completed 18 of 35 passes for 177 yards and no touchdowns with three interceptions to his name.

One of those interceptions could have been a touchdown for the Browns. In the third quarter, during a third-and-9 play, Shedeur Sanders lobbed a pass down the sideline to WR Jerry Jeudy. However, he fumbled the catch, resulting in an interception by Bears CB Jaylon Johnson in the end zone.

In the post-game press conference, Shedeur Sanders shared his thoughts on the interception while seemingly taking a shot at Jerry Jeudy.

"It's going to happen," Shedeur said. "Like it's going to happen. So, like it is what it is. I'm not going to kick someone while they're down. He understands it was a big play, and I'm sure he's hard on himself. So there's no need for me to be extra to and do that."

NFL analyst Jason Whitlock was not happy with Shedeur's comments.

"Absolutely unreal. He backed a bus over Jeudy while claiming not to. Bring back the wonderlic. I'd love to know Shedeur's score," Whitlock tweeted.

Jason Whitlock has been a strong critic of Shedeur throughout his entire rookie campaign. After he had led the team to victory against the Raiders during his QB1 debut, the analyst took a shot at him and his dad, Coach Prime. He compared it to their start with the Colorado Buffaloes in 2023.

"Shedeur Sanders mimicked the exact same behavior his father demonstrated after Colorado beat TCU three years ago. Prime Sexuals mimcked the exact same behavior they showed after Colorado beat TCU three years ago. When you don't learn from history, you repeat it."

During their Week 13 loss to the 49ers, Shedeur got into a heated sideline argument with Jerry Jeudy. This raised questions about their relationship and the way it impacts their on-field chemistry.

The Browns are currently 3-11 with a three-game losing streak and are placed last in the AFC North.

Shedeur Sanders gets real on potentially losing his QB1 job with the Brown

Shedeur Sanders began the 2025 season as a third-string option on the depth chart behind Dillon Gabriel and veteran Joe Flacco. However, after Gabriel took over as QB1 and Flacco was traded to the Bengals, he was promoted as the backup.

Shedeur made his Browns debut after Gabriel suffered a concussion during the loss to the Ravens in Week 11. Since then, Coach Kevin Stefanski decided to name Coach Prime's son as the QB1. After his three-interception showcase on Sunday, the rookie was questioned about potentially losing his job.

"You know what league we in?" Shedeur said. "You could lose your job at any point of time. So you don't play with fear. When you live and play if you're not, like, when there, be yourself, you know.

"So, I don't play or live in fear. Whatever situation I'm in, I'm in. Whatever happens, it happens. But I live each moment and try to live each day to the fullest."

The Browns next face the Bills on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
