With the veteran TE's two-year contract extension set to expire, there is an air of uncertainty regarding his future in the league. On Monday, on SportsCenter, Travis Kelce's brother and retired Eagles star, Jason Kelce, weighed in on the situation.

He shared his thoughts on whether the Chiefs TE is planning to retire after the end of the season, amid the season-ending injury to quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his contract.

"I'm curious too," Jason said. "I think its, you know, I think you have, in my opinion, to nail that decision, you got step away from the game for a little bit. Play these last three games enjoying with your teammates, enjoying with your coaches. You know, the team is going to be different no matter whether you come back or not next year.

With Kelce's contract ending after the 2025 season, NFL reporter Russ Weakland provided an update on the veteran TE's future in the league. According to sources, he is planning to return for the 2026 campaign.

"Travis Kelce does not want to go out on the back of the Kansas City Chiefs failing to make the playoffs and intends to return for another year, an insider has told Daily Mail," Weakland reported.

The Chiefs drafted Kelce with the 63rd pick in the 2013 NFL draft. In 13 seasons, the TE recorded 12,948 yards and 82 TDs receiving.
