Jason Kelce doesn't seem impressed by Patrick Mahomes' performance this year. The Kansas City Chiefs are off to their worst start since 2015 following Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos. Their hopes of winning the division are hanging by a thread.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center delivered blunt criticism of the Chiefs quarterback on Wednesday's episode of his podcast.
"If this year's Chiefs team played last year's Chiefs team, who wins? (I'm taking this year's)," Kelce said, via "New Heights." "That's what I'm saying. Somehow you guys are better, but you're sitting at 5-5, you're just not being, you're not executing as well at the end of games, which is very uncharacteristic for Pat (Mahomes) and what you guys have.
"It's frustrating to watch because I know how much you put into it, how much you guys as a team, and how much Andy puts into it."

Mahomes completed 29 of 45 passes for 276 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the 22-19 defeat. He has completed 64.5% of his passes through 10 games for 2,625 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions.
Kansas City has lost every one-score game this season after an 11-0 record in such situations in 2024. With seven games remaining, the team is facing playoff elimination probability for the first time since the 2015 campaign. That team saved their season with an 11-game winning streak.
Former Super Bowl champion compares Patrick Mahomes to Tom Brady
Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City's hopes to make their fourth consecutive Super Bowl are in danger following Sunday's defeat to the Broncos. Ex-New England guard Damien Woody drew parallels between the decline of Mahomes' Chiefs to Tom Brady's Patriots.
"I think the aura is gone in Kansas City," Woody said on Monday, via "Get Up." "I really do. I think this is a team where, it's kind of like New England from the past. Where in New England, the battle was mental going up against that team. But I think now these teams, going into this game was like, the hell with Kansas City."
Mahomes took the blame for Sunday's loss. He stressed that there are times when the team is firing, but when he misses a throw or protection call, it doesn't pan out well. The quarterback also acknowledged that the team hasn't been consistent enough to win games.
