Hurts completed 19 of 34 passes for 230 yards with one interception and two touchdowns, both to A.J. Brown. He added 31 rushing yards on four attempts. He turned the ball over by fumbling on a quarterback sneak that the Eagles normally execute well.

Former NFL safety Ryan Clark shared his frustration with Hurts' play on X.

"Jalen is killing his team with turnovers, & this rush [tush] push been getting busted up!" Clark tweeted on Friday.

Philadelphia converted only 4 of 12 third downs, leading to repeated three-and-outs and poor field control.

Chicago’s defense limited the Eagles’ run game and pressured Hurts into hurried decisions. Meanwhile, the Bears’ offense dominated on the ground, rushing for 281 yards. They kept the Eagles’ offense off the field and prevented Hurts from finding a rhythm.

The defeat drops the Eagles' record to 8-4, while the Bears improved to 9-3.

Jalen Hurts defends OC Kevin Patullo as Eagles’ offense struggles

Jalen Hurts backed offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo after the Eagles’ 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears. However, he stressed the need to develop an identity.

“Yeah, I have confidence in him. I have confidence in this team,” Hurts said. “I have confidence in us when we’re collaborative… I have a lot of confidence when we have an identity, so I think that’s the first thing that we have to establish.”

Hurts' response was an answer to the discontent echoed by fans and analysts after the game.

Richard Sherman called on Eagles coach Nick Sirianni to fire Patullo.

“(Nick) Sirianni, maybe get your wand out and find you a new offensive coordinator,” Sherman said.

The Eagles rank 19th in total offense and average 22.5 points per game.

The Philadelphia Eagles next face the Los Angeles Chargers, who are second in the AFC West with a 7-4 record.
