Colin Cowherd predicts doom for Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid-led Chiefs' Super Bowl dominance

Colin Cowherd believes that Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are no longer a dominant force in the AFC. On Friday's episode of his show, he highlighted how other teams like the Denver Broncos are starting to emerge as a powerhouse in the AFC.

Cowherd said that while the Chiefs might win another Lombardi Trophy, they will not make consecutive appearances in the AFC Championship game or the Super Bowl.

"I made a bold prediction before the year," Cowherd said. "I said the dynasty is over. I did not say Kansas City would fail to make the playoffs. I said they'll make the playoffs, and they're gonna win another Super Bowl. Andy Reid (Patrick) Mahomes may win another Super Bowl. But this going to the AFC championship every year, going to the Super Bowl every year, that's done.

"There'll be a playoff team, but you're not going to get four more trips to the Super Bowl in five years. ...Those days are over for Kansas City. You're not gettting that number one seed anymore. Not with Peyton in the building. ... You're not getting that number on seed. ... Sean Payton and Jim Harbaugh arguably the second and third best coach in the league. And Andy may be the first. It's just a natural progression."
