Kansas City Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt has backed Erika Kirk's idea of creating a halftime show to rival that of Bad Bunny's at the 2026 Super Bowl.

Turning Point USA, a group started by Charlie Kirk and now led by his widow, Erika, announced “The All American Halftime Show” on X on Oct. 9. The announcement followed backlash from those who opposed the NFL choosing Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny to perform at its halftime show.

Gracie said the NFL should pick performers who show “family” and “American” values.

“I really respect Erika for all that she’s done, especially with creating a halftime show for America," Hunt said on Thursday, via “The Will Cain Show." "You know, children are young, they’re impressionable.

“When my grandfather named the Super Bowl, he intended it to be something children and families of all ages could come together and watch and really believed that the game should come first," Hunt said. "That football is the attraction and that it didn’t need to compromise its character or rely on cheap appeal to draw an audience, especially when that approach can alienate so much of the fan base.”

Hunt added that future halftime performers should reflect the values the NFL supports.

Her grandfather, Lamar Hunt, started the American Football League in 1959, which later merged with the NFL. Lamar was also the one who came up with the name “Super Bowl” after watching his kids play with a Super Ball toy. He also founded the Dallas Texans, which later moved and became the Kansas City Chiefs.

Lamar was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1972. He died on Dec. 13, 2006.

The NFL, meanwhile, was heavily criticized in some circles for selecting Bad Bunny to perform. The rapper had previously spoken against the Trump administration and released a politically charged music video for “NUEVAYoL” on July 4, which criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s immigration policies.

He was announced as the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show performer on Sept. 28, during the Packers-Cowboys game.

Gracie Hunt floats idea of Taylor Swift and Jason Aldean for Super Bowl halftime show

Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, talked about her dream Super Bowl halftime show on Thursday.

Gracie was asked who she wanted to see on stage, and she said country music is a big favorite in the U.S.

“I think America loves country music," Gracie said, via “The Will Cain Show.” "Jason Aldean would be fantastic, or we could even do a compilation of some fun pop,” she said. “I love to see Ms. Taylor Swift up there at some point once Travis is retired.”

The Chiefs continue to draw attention off the field because of Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift.

The couple got engaged in August, just weeks after she appeared on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast to announce her album, "The Life of a Showgirl."
