The foundation raises awareness of ALS and supports programs that uplift at-risk youth. The charity event came shortly after Lean McCoy made headlines for a tense moment with Emmanuel Acho involving Joy Taylor on their “Speakeasy” podcast on Oct. 20.

The conversation started when Skip Bayless suggested that Jacksonville Jaguars star Travis Hunter’s slow rookie season happened because he got baptized during the year.

McCoy then shared that he had been baptized twice, including once late in his NFL career. Acho then joked that McCoy had done “a lot of sinning” since his 2018 baptism.

McCoy did not like the comment and brought up allegations about Acho and Joy Taylor that were mentioned in a lawsuit filed in early 2025 by former FS1 hairstylist Noushin Faraji.

“Says the guy that did a lot of action at Fox, but we ain’t gonna talk about all that,” McCoy said.

The lawsuit claimed that Acho and Taylor were romantically involved while they worked at FS1.

Acho first tried to laugh it off, but he quickly got upset.

“That was the biggest violation in this show’s history,” Acho said.

“It’s public,” McCoy answered.

Moments later, Acho suddenly ended the show.

“I’m tired of talking to y’all. I’m done. And chat, I’m tired of y’all too,” Acho said. “I’m tired of this show. That was low, 2-5.”

McCoy, known as “Shady,” spent 12 years in the NFL and became one of the most exciting running backs of the 2010s. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Joy Taylor’s experience with domestic violence drew reaction from LeSean McCoy

Joy Taylor talked about a difficult part of her childhood on Nov. 6.

Continuing speaking, she shared on her show that she grew up in a home with domestic violence caused by her father and it left a deep impact on her.

“My father is still alive. We do not speak. We haven't spoken in many, many, many, many years. In a lot of ways, not having a man in my life that I can call on in the way that you would call on a father has isolated me from men, has caused me to have a deep distrust for people.”

Lean McCoy reacted, writing: "That’s some real … luv JT❤️."
