Gracie Hunt made bold statement regarding Super Bowl halftime show
Since the NFL announced that Bad Bunny will be performing at the Super Bowl LX halftime show, there has been backlash from some fans. Some have argued that the Puerto Rican born performer doesn't represent the NFL as a whole. The NFL has pushed back and said that it helps with their mission to grow the game globally.
Gracie Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs owner Clark Hunt, made her stance on the situation clear. Last week she was a guest on FOX News and showed support for Erika Kirk's alternate halftime show, geared towards those who don't support Bad Bunny.
"I really respect Erika Kirk for all that she’s done, especially with creating a halftime show for America. You know, children are young, they’re impressionable. Young women, young men and everyone, they just need someone to look up to. ."
Hunt continued by saying, "When my grandfather named the Super Bowl, he intended it to be something children and families of all ages could come together and watch and really believed that the game should come first, that football is the attraction and that it didn’t need to compromise its character or rely on cheap appeal to draw an audience, especially when that approach can alienate so much of the fan base."
While Gracie Hunt is showing her support for the alternate Super Bowl LX halftime show, Charlotte Jones recently supported the selection of Bad Bunny. The daughter of longtime Dallas Cowboys team owner, Jerry Jones, recently stated she support the NFL broadening its reach.
