Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills will face the Houston Texans in Week 12 of the 2025 NFL season on Thursday night. The game will kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET from NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.Ahead of the game, Allen reflected on last season's clash with Houston, which Buffalo lost 23-20. The Bills QB was honest in his assessment of his performance.“I got beat up that game," Allen said on Wednesday. "Didn’t play well at all. It’s watching that film. There’s a lot of good stuff to watch from that film, but it’s hard to watch. I played pretty badly.”“Hopefully, we can go out there and play a little bit better and move the ball a little bit better. But again, this defense is no easy task to go against, and it’s going to take uh everything that we got from everybody on the field.”Allen, who won the MVP award last season, completed nine of 30 passes for 131 yards and a touchdown in the game against Houston in October 2024. He also added 54 yards on four carries, but struggled mainly with his passing.Although Allen has not been in the MVP conversation this season, he is still a big threat. The Buffalo QB has posted 2,456 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions, while adding 351 yards and 10 TDs on 65 carries, leading the team to a 7-3 record.Bills QB Josh Allen opens up on Texans' simple but effective approach to gamesBuffalo Bills QB Josh Allen - NFL 2025 - Source: GettyDuring his news conference on Wednesday, Bills QB Josh Allen had some praise for the way Houston approaches its games.“I think I think, one, the way they can produce those type of numbers and still be ... a team that doesn’t blitz a whole lot, " Allen said. "They’re not (using) a lot of exotic looks. They just kind of put the ball down and play. They’re fantastic in the back end. I think their front is great, they’re getting a lot of pressure on the quarterbacks. So, yeah. We’re going to have our hands full.“On a short week, just trying to put together a gameplan, watching as much film as we can, trying to develop as good of a plan as we can. Ultimately, comes down to executing on Thursday.”The Texans (5-5) appear to have found some rhythm in the past few weeks, recording back-to-back wins. However, keeping Josh Allen and co. in check will be a big test for Houston on Thursday night.
