On Saturday, NFL insider Diana Russini wrote that Hurts' approach has frustrated some of his teammates. On Monday, Derrick Gunn reported that the coaching staff isn’t happy with Hurts playing his game despite discussing a clear game plan during the week.

Hurts responded to the reports on Wednesday evening, saying that he's not a stranger to getting attention, whether things are going well or look shaky.

“I think it definitely does,” Hurts said, via NBC Sports. “I take a lot of the responsibility. I get a lot of attention when things are going well and when things are not going so well. I never run away from holding myself accountable and I think that’s exactly what I’ve taken the approach of doing.

“Even when I look at this last game, I take great pride in what we do on offense, I take great pride in how we go out there and play as a team and what our flow it. We obviously have work to do and that obviously starts with me. That’s always my approach. That’s always me looking internally first in everything that we do. And then in due time, rising above.”

The Eagles boast an 8-2 record after 11 weeks. However, the way the offense has played in their last two games (26 points combined) has raised many eyebrows among fans. Jalen Hurts has gone 180 of 269 for 1,995 yards and 16 touchdowns with just one interception.

Jalen Hurts on what he'll do to end the Eagles' struggles

While he agreed that the criticism comes with the position, Jalen Hurts said he remains focused on the task ahead, making it clear he wants to bring the best energy to practice.

“Ultimately, it’s about coming in here and working and leading and bringing good energy and showing it by how you work,” Hurts said. “At the end of the day, we are here to play as a team and to play together and find ways to win. That’s where we all have our focus at.”

The Eagles hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC, but if they want to play in the Super Bowl again, the offense needs to step up.
