Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is doing a fine job for his team this season. The Eagles are leading the NFC East with an 8-3 record, but Hurts has been in the spotlight after reports this week claimed that members of the Philly organization are frustrated with the QB's for his on-field performances.

Many believe that the frustration around Hurts has stemmed from his lack of targeting superstar wideout AJ Brown. Amid the Hurts-Brown drama at Philly, Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin has backed the Eagles QB.

“I don’t give a damn where he (Hurts) is throwing the ball,” Irvin said on "The National Football Show" with Dan Sileo on Thursday. “I’m never getting mad at the quarterback. You’re my quarterback, I need you throwing me the damn ball. I watched the other day when Jalen Hurts was giving the pre-game speech. A.J. Brown’s over in the back, you know, messing around, moving around – he’s not even paying attention.”

Irvin played as a wideout for the Dallas Cowboys for 12 years from 1988 to 1999. He earned five Pro Bowl honors and won three Super Bowls.

Brown has fuelled a rift with Hurts this season. On Thursday, the Eagles' wideout deflected a question about any rumored drama with his QB.

Brown's productivity has dropped this season. However, he still has 457 yards and three touchdowns on 38 receptions.
