The Pittsburgh Steelers fans lashed out at the team's performance during their 26-7 defeat against the Buffalo Bills on Monday. It was their second consecutive loss, dropping them to 6-6 for the season.
The Steelers held a 7-3 lead at halftime but ended up conceding 23 unanswered points to lose their second consecutive game. The players were booed during the fourth quarter, and some of the boos were directed at Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, with the fans chanting, "Fire Tomlin."
Following the loss, Tomlin acknowledged the team's performance deserved the apprehensive reaction from the home fans.
"In general, I agree with 'em from this perspective: Football is our game. We are in the sports entertainment business, and so if you root for the Steelers, entertaining them is winning and so when you're not winning, it's not entertaining and if you've been in this business, you understand that.

"And so I respect it, I share frustrations, I understand what makes this thing go and winning is what makes this thing go."
Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers understood fans' frustration after "boo-worthy performance" vs. Bills
Veteran Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who didn't have his best game against the Bills, echoed his coach's sentiments after the game, saying it was a "boo-worthy performance."
"I totally understand the frustration," Rodgers said. "I've been booed on offense, even in Green Bay over the years. … That was a boo-worthy performance."
Despite losing five of their seven games since October, the Steelers remain in contention for the AFC North as they share the same record with leaders Baltimore Ravens, who hold the edge due to a better winning percentage based on common games.
The leaderboard could change over the weekend as the Steelers travel to Baltimore to take on their division rivals. They will also host the Ravens in the final game of the regular season in January.
