On Wednesday's episode of the "New Heights" podcast, Jason Kelce had a recap of his dinner at the steakhouse. He then told a hilarious story that involved their father, Ed Kelce. The former Philadelphia Eagles center mentioned that their father can't hear well, and he noticed he wasn't understand the server when she was mentioning her favorite menu items.

"Favorite part of the evening the waitress is, we're asking her, like, 'Oh, what do you like?' And, she's kind of listing off all these things. And, you know, Dad can't hear, right? So he's on the far side of the table already. I'm like, looking over, and I look over at him, and I could tell he can't hear a f*cking word."

Jason Kelce then told Travis Kelce that their father proceeded to yell out the dish he wanted to order, unaware the waitress was giving a rundown of the menu.

"He whispers to me like I can't f*cking hear a single thing she's saying. And all he does is, she's still mid- explaining. He's like, Whippercotta Meatballs. He just blurts it out. She's like, 'Oh yeah, the Whippercotta is a nice one' and I'm like, Oh no, no. He's ordering that. It was so f*cking funny (Timestamp: 3:55)."

He said the server was gracious and said the meatballs were a good dish to which he had to explain his father was now ordering. Both Jason and Travis Kelce then laughed hysterically about their father's miscue.

The Super Bowl winner center went on to say that he had the burger named after coach Andy Reid. He applauded the restaurant's high end feel and the quality of all the menu items.

“There’s a lot more creativity to it. I didn’t know there was the GOAT Burger, which was like a step up from the big red, but I’m like, I’m getting the big red. I’m here for the Andy Reid Burger. Gotta get the big red. And then got the cheesesteak as well. We also got the meatballs and whipped ricotta (Timestamp: 3:14).”

1587 Prime opened at the Loew's Kansas City on September 17th, which happens to be Patrick Mahomes' birthday. Mahomes and Kelce teamed up with restaurant group Noble 33 to bring their steakhouse to life.
