For some fantasy football managers, Week 8 cannot end fast enough. For those eager to get their waiver claims in early to rebuild their team, there are some options this week. Typically, there are slim hopes of getting someone with impact this late in the season, but that isn't the case this week.
Here's a look at the top waiver wire options to help round out your running back room, including a potential must-start player who could set you up nicely for the rest of the season.

#4 - Emanuel Wilson, Green Bay Packers (4% rostered)
Emanuel Wilson has popped against struggling defenses. If you need someone to help you get through a future week that lines up, it's worth getting in the waiver claim now. Of course, there are a few better options available than the Green Bay Packers' second-string running back.
However, if Josh Jacobs suffers an injury in a future game, Wilson will become instantly desirable for many fantasy football managers. Getting in front could be an option if you have the roster spot available to invest.
#3 - Sean Tucker, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5.1% rostered)
The Bucky Irving situation is becoming increasingly concerning for fantasy football managers. Irving's return has seemingly been around the corner for a while now, but has yet to happen. As such, with Sean Tucker coming off a season-best outing, you might be able to get a game or two of flex-level production if you need it.
Of course, as soon as Irving returns, Tucker will likely need to be dropped. There are better fantasy football running backs available, but if they are taken, you can take a shot at Tucker.
#2 - Ollie Gordon II, Miami Dolphins (10.6% rostered)
Ollie Gordon II has been a consistent waiver wire choice all season long. However, many fantasy football managers have not made a push for the running back. Gordon is coming off a quality outing and is scheduled to face the struggling Baltimore Ravens defense in his next game.
Gordon saw his carries double between Week 7 and Week 8, and also delivered a touchdown reception, winning the trust of Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel.
#1 - Isaiah Davis, New York Jets (7.9% rostered)
Isaiah Davis is coming off his best game of the season. While he's set to go on a bye in Week 9, he carries long-term upside. With rumors swirling about Breece Hall being dealt before the trade deadline, per a Monday report by SNY, Davis could end up the starting running back on the other side of the bye week or around the trade deadline.
If you have the ability to be patient and let him percolate on the bench, it could pay dividends for your fantasy football squad later down the line. The Jets have a mix of difficult defenses and quality matchups ahead, but Davis could be an occasional starter, which is rare to find on the waiver wire at this time of year.
