Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills suffered a 30-13 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Former New England guard Damien Woody believes the Bills squandered their five-year AFC East dominance, while the Patriots, under Drake Maye, are legitimate division contenders.

Woody shared his take on the AFC East's situation on Monday.

"They've royally messed up their window," Woody said, via "Get Up." "They've had the AFC East locked down for six years. And they have nothing to show for it. And guess what? Here are the Patriots. They're back again. And so you look at Josh Allen. You look at this game yesterday. You know, you heard whispers. 'Oh, it was the Miami Dolphins.'

"This is not a trap game. I'm sorry, Buffalo, you're not even leading the division, and it's a divisional game. You got your butts whooped against the Miami Dolphins that we had written off, dead to rights. ... This is not a bad game. This is more of a bad sign for Buffalo."

Despite winning the division five consecutive seasons, Buffalo has failed to reach the Super Bowl, losing two AFC championship games, three divisional-round playoff games, during that stretch. The Bills also lost a wild-card game in 2019 after finishing second in the division.

The Dolphins entered Sunday's game as one of the weakest teams this season, but they dominated the Bills. De'Von Achane rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns, while Tua Tagovailoa threw for two touchdowns in the 30-13 win.

Can Josh Allen lead the Bills to AFC East title?

Drake Maye and Co. have seized control of the AFC East after Week 10. The New England Patriots (8-2) lead by 1.5 games and have a 47.2% chance of winning the division.

The likely decider is on Dec. 14, when the Patriots host the Buffalo Bills (6-3). New England holds the tiebreaker from its 23-20 Week 5 victory, so another win could clinch the AFC East. Miami (3-7) and the New York Jets (2-7) are too far back.

Josh Allen struggled with turnovers and inconsistency in Buffalo’s 30-13 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday. He threw an interception in the end zone, fumbled in the fourth quarter and struggled to maintain offensive rhythm. The Bills managed just three first downs through three quarters.

The Patriots' remaining schedule has matchups against the Jets (twice), Cincinnati (3-6), the Giants (2-8), Buffalo, Baltimore (4-5) and Miami.

Meanwhile, Buffalo will face Tampa Bay (6-3), Houston (4-5), Pittsburgh (5-4), Cincinnati (3-6), New England, Cleveland (2-7), Philadelphia and the Jets.
