Shedeur Sanders has been in the spotlight after his underwhelming debut for the Cleveland Browns in their 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Sanders replaced fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, who was concussed in the second half, but completed just four of his 16 passes for 47 yards with an interception. On Monday, former Green Bay Packers wideout Greg Jennings discussed Sanders' disastrous debut against the Ravens, while pointing out how the rookie had spoken about other QBs in the league. "As a former player, my job, if I were ever in this position, when I watched guys who were in his (Sanders) position, when you get the opportunity, you must be ready," Jennings said on "First Things First." "And especially it's paramount at the quarterback position. ... Some of the statements he has made about other QBs in this league, and he feels like he should be playing, or is better than some of the guys playing, to get an opportunity and to show that, I was disappointed."In September, when the Browns announced Dillon Gabriel as their QB1, Sanders said he's capable of doing better than some of the other QBs in the NFL. However, Cleveland coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed after the loss to Baltimore that Sanders never had practice reps with any offensive players that played in the second half. "I don't think I played good," Sanders said, via ESPN. "I don't think I played good at all. I think there's a lot of things we need to look at during the week and go and just get comfortable with even throwing routes with (wide receiver) Jerry (Jeudy) and throwing routes with all those guys. I think that was my first ball to him all year. But other than that, I just think overall, we just got to go next week and understand, so that we have a week to prepare stuff I like to do."Browns coach Stefanski confirmed on Sunday that Gabriel will start in Week 12 against the Las Vegas Raiders if he clears the concussion protocol. If not, Sanders could get his first start for the Browns.
