Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Kurt Benkert believes that the best course of action for the Minnesota Vikings would be to acquire Kyler Murray through a trade. With Carson Wentz out for the season due to a shoulder injury, Kevin O'Connell's team only has rookies J.J. McCarthy and Max Brosmer on their quarterback depth chart."The Vikings should trade for Kyler Murray. Not that AZ is willing to, but I think he'd be a problem in KOC's offense," Benkert tweeted.Kurt Benkert @KurtBenkertLINKThe Vikings should trade for Kyler Murray. Not that AZ is willing to, but I think he’d be a problem in KOC’s offense.Murray has spent his entire NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals, having been drafted first overall in 2019. Unfortunately, the two-time Pro Bowler has had a rough patch of games this season. He injured himself during their Week 5 loss against the Tennessee Titans. This resulted in the Cardinals naming Jacoby Brissett as his replacement in the last two games. Murray was expected to return on Monday night for the team's Week 9 showdown against the Dallas Cowboys. However, on Saturday, coach Jonathan Gannon named Jacoby Brissett the QB1 for the third straight game, stating that Kyler Murray is not 100% healthy and, therefore, not ready to return to the gridiron."He is getting better. He's had some more work this last week, but like I said, he's just not ready to go yet," Gannon said as per ESPN. "But as far as, obviously, that positon's a little bit different because you got to have a plan ready. That's why I'm just saying Jacoby's starting. But if (Murray) can have a role, he can have a role, but you take it one day at a time."Jacoby Brissett has lost both games he's started for the Cardinals. This season, he has tallied a total of 599 yards and four TDs passing. Jonathan Gannon and his team have until the Nov. 4 trade deadline to decide whether they want to trade Murray.Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon reveals severity of Kyler Murray's injuryWith Kyler Murray missing three games in a row, there is an air of uncertainty brewing regarding the severity of the quarterback's foot injury.
