Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez was stabbed in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, according to authorities. Police responded to a call around 12:30 a.m. about two injured people near a pub on West Washington Street and North Senate Avenue.Sanchez was rushed to a local hospital in a critical condition, according to TMZ, but was later stabilized and arrested on charges, including battery.He was in town to call the Colts versus Raiders game for Fox Sports at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.According to TMZ, Sanchez got into a fight with a food delivery driver near a pub around 12:30 a.m. The driver said Sanchez told him to move his car, then threatened and followed him, and tried using pepper spray.The driver said he defended himself with a knife after the spray failed.Both men were injured. Sanchez had stab wounds, and the other had facial injuries.Charges against Sanchez are battery with injury, unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.Sanchez is still in the hospital and hasn’t been booked yet. He retired in 2019 and became a broadcaster for ESPN and Fox.He married actress Perry Mattfeld in May 2023 in Oaxaca, Mexico.
