Shedeur Sanders made his NFL debut in Week 11 for the Cleveland Browns after starter Dillon Gabriel exited with a concussion. He completed just 4 of 16 passes for 47 yards, threw one interception, was sacked twice, fumbled once and ended with a 13.5 passer rating. The Browns fell 23-16 to the Baltimore Ravens.

Former NFL coach Rex Ryan criticized Sanders’ postgame behavior.

Emmanuel Acho, a former NFL linebacker who is an analyst for FS1, fired back at Ryan, an analyst for ESPN, on the "Speak Easy" podcast on Tuesday.

"This is dumb," Acho said. "And if Rex Ryan wants to talk crazy about Shedeur Sanders, then let me talk crazy about Rex Ryan. Rex Ryan makes some imbecilic remarks, truly imbecilic remarks. How in the world are you going to criticize Shedeur Sanders' body language after that game? If there's one thing Shedeur Sanders did great in that game, it was his body language.

"He came onto the field after halftime out of surprise. 'Hey, offense, let's get into it. Hey crowd, let's get into it. I know our team has sucked up to this point, offense ain't scored no points up to this point ... let's get into it.' Then, after the offense was throwing offensive line, nothing but look-out blocks -- 'Aye Shedeur, look out.' Shedeur Sanders still maintained his poise, still maintained his on-field integrity."

Rex Ryan's comments on Shedeur Sanders' post-game behavior

Rex Ryan was heavily critical of Shedeur Sanders' behavior and body language following the Browns’ 23-16 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.

“Shedeur, he’s gotta get over himself too … He’s there by himself on the bench. I’ve never seen that," Ryan said on ESPN’s "Get Up." "I’ve seen it in the seventh game of the World Series when you lose a game or whatever. This is a game -- tit’s a pillow-fight game. Nobody cares.”

Ryan questioned whether Sanders’ reaction was genuine or performative.

“Did he care? Or are you trying to make it a show of making it about yourself?”

He also pointed out that two-time MVP Lamar Jackson was looking for Shedeur Sanders after the game.

“Share a moment with him … Then, get in there with your teammates. … You think anybody in that locker room is (uncomfortable losing)? They better not be.”

Ryan has been repeatedly critical of Sanders, previously blasting him as "an embarrassment." He further accused him of talking too much, lacking preparation, and failing to earn a starting role despite his talent, as he urged him to “study and work.”
