Ahead of the Week 13 clash, Wright had questioned Pickens' ability to rise to the occasion in big games.

“The biggest question mark about him, fair or not, is big game performance. I don’t care how good CeeDee and George Pickens are.”

Pickens shared a video of Wright's statement on X, writing:

The 31-28 win against the Chiefs was the Cowboys' second consecutive big scalp as they had defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 12 despite falling behind 21-0 in the first half.

Pickens registered six receptions for 88 yards while CeeDee Lamb posted seven receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown. Pickens, who was traded by the Steelers to Dallas in May, has already registered career-best numbers in receptions (73), receiving yards (1,142) and touchdowns (8), with five games remaining this season.

Geroge Pickens exudes confidence in team's ability after wins against Super Bowl champions

Following consecutive wins against former Super Bowl-winning teams, the Cowboys are on cloud nine. Following Thursday's win against the defending AFC champions, George Pickens admitted that the team has the quality but needs to execute well to display their caliber.

“We beat the past two Super Bowl winners," Pickens said. "I feel like we still got that same type of caliber. As long as we just execute, put one foot forward each day, I feel like we got that same caliber. All we can do is just execute. But I feel like we definitely got that caliber of guys."

With the win against Kansas City, the Cowboys have extended their winning streak to three games. They will square off against the Detroit Lions in another primetime showdown on Thursday Night Football.

Dallas is just 1.5 games behind the Eagles in the NFC East for first place and will be looking to continue the winning streak to put pressure on the defending champions.
