Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe spoke about former NFL star wide receiver Antonio Brown's arrest on charges of attempted murder on Thursday. Brown was extradited from Dubai to the United States for his trial.

The former NFL star was accused of shooting at a man he was fighting during a celebrity boxing event on May 16. One of the shots allegedly grazed the victim's neck. Brown, who was detained initially, was released and was reportedly living in Dubai.

Sharpe, who has had a long-standing feud with the former Super Bowl-winning WR, got emotional while discussing his arrest with Chad Ochocinco on his "Nightcap" podcast.

"I just wish AB realized how special he was. He didn't realize it Ocho," Sharpe said with frustration in his voice.

Sharpe and Brown have traded barbs over the years, with the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver mocking Sharpe during his sexual assault and battery lawsuit earlier this year.

Brown, a seven-time Pro Bowler is widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of his generation. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010 to 18, leading the league in receptions and receiving yards twice. He was part of the Buccaneers' Super Bowl LV team in 2021.

Shannon Sharpe's co-host Chad Ochocinco reflects on his relationship with Antonio Brown

During Shannon Sharpe's conversation with Chad Ochocinco, another former wide receiver, Ochocinco said how he always looked out for Antonio Brown among others.

"You gotta understand, we all grew up together," Ochocinco said. "We all come from the same area, we all train together. I was watching AB when he was in high school, I got to see him at Central Michigan. We trained every off season together for years.

"Every off season, me, AB, Santana Moss, Andre Johnson. I mean, it's a constant constant to make sure that union, as far as receivers that come from Miami-Dade County, we stay together and everybody's still on the right path."

Brown is facing attempted murder charges, and if convicted, the former wide receiver 15-year prison sentence and up to a $10,000 fine.
