Even with the Cleveland Browns’ offense struggling for much of the year, Shedeur Sanders has spent the last three games proving he deserves to be in the conversation for the starting job in 2026. He will aim to strengthen that argument in Week 15 as the Browns travel to Soldier Field for a matchup with the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

If Cleveland hopes to shake off last week’s crushing 31–29 defeat to Tennessee, Sanders will have to deliver once more, and do it in frigid weather conditions this time.

Early forecasts predict a wind chill of -20 for the Browns’ trip to Chicago, conditions that can make even the toughest players miserable.

After seeing the projected weather for the game, Shedeur's brother, Deion Sanders Jr., shared on Wednesday how the brutal conditions would affect him personally.

"I don’t think my camera can function in these conditions. At all," Deion Sanders Jr. posted.

With a wind chill expected to hit -20, throwing the ball could become a real challenge, meaning the Browns may have to rely more heavily on rookie running back Quinshon Judkins against the Bears.

That said, Shedeur Sanders didn't flinch in last week’s frigid conditions, with temperatures hovering in the 30s and snow drifting across the field. He went 23-of-42 for 364 yards and three touchdowns and added another score on a run against the Titans.

Cleveland can only hope he stays just as steady when he steps into the cold weather at Soldier Field on Sunday.

Shedeur Sanders to start for the Browns till the end of the season

Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced on Monday that Shedeur Sanders is officially locked in as the team’s starting quarterback for the remainder of the season.

"I think he has constantly and consistently gotten better in each one of these games and how he's approached his game. He's been working very hard," Stefanski said. "So, I feel good about where his development is heading. He knows there are always going to be plays that he can be better at and those types of things, but he is very intentional about getting better every game he's out there."

According to Stefanski, the rookie has been trending upward ever since stepping into the role, showing noticeable growth in his mechanics, especially with cleaner footwork and more confidence navigating the pocket.

Through his first three NFL starts, Shedeur Sanders has completed 50 of 87 passes for 722 yards and five touchdowns, showing impressive explosiveness by recording a 50-yard completion in every game so far.

With four games remaining, he now enters a crucial stretch, which could determine whether the Browns see him as their long-term starter. A strong closing month could reshape Cleveland’s plans for the draft and the future of the roster.
