Darius Slay's NFL future suffered a big twist on Thursday, after the player seemingly quit on the Buffalo Bills. The AFC East team claimed Slay off waivers after the Pittsburgh Steelers released the veteran cornerback on Tuesday. Slay, 34, flirted with the idea of returning to one of his old teams before the Bills acted. Insider Adam Schefter reported that Slay was studying his options and wasn't sure about whether he would continue to play amid a season full of injuries. “Slay is honored that a first-class organization like the Bills claimed him, but he is going to take some time away from football right now and decide in the next few days if he wants to keep playing,” Slay’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus said, per Schefter.
