Jones revealed that he tried to trade Parsons and a first-round pick for Williams, but the Jets didn't have the cap space to pay the then-Cowboys star.“I thought that much of Williams," Jones said. "And he’s showing what he can do.”Jones eventually got his man as Williams was traded to Dallas by the Jets after the first eight games of the season.
