Colin Cowherd made an evaluation of Dak Prescott on Tuesday that didn't sit well with Clarence Hill Jr. The longtime Dallas Cowboys writer believes the respected sports analyst hasn't done justice with his ranking of the team's quarterback. While analyzing the Cowboys’ Monday night game against the Las Vegas Raiders in an episode of “The Herd” on Tuesday, Cowherd compared the Cowboys and the New York Jets amid Quinnen Williams’ success. This led to describing how good he feels the Cowboys’ quarterback is in the league.“Quinnen Williams last night, season high in sacks, one and a half, career high in quarterback hits,” Cowherd said. “Another escape from New York success story. Two things are absolutely true. Every player that leaves the toxic New York Jets gets better instantly.”“And Dallas is probably not as far off as everybody thinks. Dallas has a top 10 to 12 quarterback. Run game's good. Interior D-line, Kenny Clark, Quinnen Williams, the weapons on the perimeter. They stole George Pickens. That's a lot of playoff boxes”Not ranking Dak Prescott among the elite quarterbacks in the NFL was something Clarence Hill Jr. couldn't come to terms with. The quarterback has been particularly fantastic this season, putting in a lot of effort to elevate the team amid defensive struggles. Hill replied to Cowherd with discontent on social media.“Top 10-12 qb. Come on man,” Hill wrote on X.Dak Prescott believes the Cowboys' struggle could propel them to a special seasonThe Dallas Cowboys have been through significant struggles this season. The team holds a 4-5-1 record with one of the worst defensive records in the league. However, Dak Prescott believes the struggle could propel the team to have one of the most historic seasons.“I’ve been saying that,” Prescott said on Monday. “I’ll probably keep saying that. Why not? And it’s more about that we’re in control, right? We’re in control. And life’s going to throw things at us and it threw us a hell of a curveball this past week. How are we going to respond?“That’s what I was telling the team. To have a testimony, you got to go through a test. And this is a big test to our brotherhood, who we are, and to this organization, to us individually. Let’s have pride, and let’s honor our brother. And if we can continue to do that, move forward, carrying that light and play the way that we did tonight, why not?”Dak Prescott finished the game against the Raiders with 25 of 33 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns. In a season when he's been highly crucial for the team, Prescott has thrown for 2,587 yards and 21 touchdowns with six interceptions. His performance will be vital in the Cowboys’ postseason dream.
