Daniels fumbled the ball during a handoff with a little over three minutes to go, allowing the Bears to drive down the field and set up kicker Jake Moody for a 38-yard field goal. He converted, helping Ben Johnson's team snatch the win.

Notwithstanding the fumble, Daniels had a solid outing, completing 19 of 26 passes for 211 yards and three touchdowns. During the game, two-time NBA champion and diehard Commanders fan Kevin Durant shared encouraging words for the quarterback.
