Shedeur Sanders got his first taste of NFL action on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. The Cleveland Browns' playmaker replaced fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel when the former Oregon quarterback sustained a concussion. Sanders finished the game, going 4 of 16 for 47 yards with one interception in his first first-team reps with Cleveland. With Gabriel still in concussion protocol and unable to play against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Sanders is stepping up as the QB1. Speaking on his chances to travel to Las Vegas to watch his kid, Deion Sanders refused to give a clear answer on whether he'll attend the game."Don't know. Haven't made that decision as of yet," Sanders told reporters on Tuesday. "I'm so focused on what we have at hand. I'm not thinking about that, although I just got off the phone with him a minute ago. I'm really focused on what we have at hand."The Raiders come off a 33-16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 11 of the 2025 NFL season. Geno Smith went 27 of 42 for 238 yards and one touchdown against one interception and four sacks. Both teams have won two games, and this matchup could help them boost their confidence for the rest of the season. After several weeks of speculation about his role on the Browns, Shedeur Sanders will get the keys to the car. Back in September, "Coach Prime" predicted his son would get an opportunity to start."Be patient and be ready," he said. "You got to be ready when it's time. But when it's time, you're going to know. And it's coming up. I got a prediction. I ain't telling nobody. I got a feeling when it's going to go down. But it's going to go down this year. ... He's going to get a shot."Shedeur Sanders says he didn't play well against the Ravens After his first game in the NFL, Shedeur Sanders assessed his performance, saying that he didn't play at the best level."I don't think I played good," Sanders said, via ESPN. "I don't think I played good at all. I think there's a lot of things we need to look at during the week and go and just get comfortable with even throwing routes with [wide receiver] Jerry [Jeudy] and throwing routes with all those guys."His first start will draw a lot of attention, but it remains to be seen if Deion Sanders will be there.
