Breece Hall had a costly fourth-quarter fumble in the New York Jets' 23-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. The turnover at the Ravens' 2-yard line with less than seven minutes remaining killed any hopes of a Jets comeback. Aaron Glenn walked back to the sideline with his arm around Hall. The running back addressed the media following the defeat and opened up about his mistake and the interaction with his coach."Really, he was just holding me up because I was dog tired," Hall told reporters. "I was mad at myself, but I'm also dog tired. He was just making sure I was good. When it comes to stuff like that, my coaches know me well enough, like, I'm not the type of player they need to yell at or really say anything to."They know I beat myself up a lot. I'm very hard on myself. They kind of just give me a moment. All my teammates came over to me and consoled me and everything, which I appreciated them for. They know I don't like to make mistakes."Hall had one of his most productive games of the season. He recorded 119 all-purpose scrimmage yards on 11 touches when he made the mistake. Running from second-and-5 at Baltimore's 13-yard line, Hall broke through the initial line of scrimmage and sprinted toward the goal line. However, Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey punched the ball loose and Alohi Gilman recovered at the 3-yard line. The Jets were trailing 20-10 at the time, and the touchdown could have brought them back into the game.Hall's fumble virtually ended the game. Baltimore added field goals to seal the victory.Aaron Glenn reacts to Breece Hall's fumbleAaron Glenn backed Breece Hall after his fumble, defending his running back in the postgame conference."And we all know, once you're fighting for every yard, we have to be able to protect the ball," Glenn said. "And their guys did a really good job of going after it and getting it and man, we had him going trying to get him involved as much as we can, as you guys saw from the game."Glenn added that mistakes happen, and Hall should not hold his head down. The coach said he understands how he felt in the situation and doesn't want him to be hard on himself.
