Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton returned from his ankle injury against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.Hampton injured his ankle in Week 5 and didn't feature for the team for two months. In Hampton's absence, 2024 sixth-round pick Kimani Vidal put in a solid effort for the Chargers. However, after Hampton's record, questions have been asked about Vidal's role with the team. Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman shared that the team will decide about their roles based on "who's got the hot hand.""It's so fluid. It could change at a drop of a hat and I'm always going to go with the hot hand," Roman said. "You never know who that's going to be. So you get into the game, you find out who's got the hot hand and they'll get the bulk of the work."But right now I'm seeing two guys with the hot hand, so that's a good problem to have."Hampton was selected with the 22nd pick in the 2025 NFL draft. He rushed for 314 yards with two touchdowns. He also had 20 receptions and 126 receiving yards in the first five games before his ankle injury.
