Cade Cunningham ditches Detroit allegiance to pledge loyalty for Cowboys as $269,085,780 NBA star makes bold prediction for Dak Prescott and Co.

Detroit Pistons star Cade Cunningham made his way to Ford Field to watch the Detroit Lions take on the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday. However, the point guard, who signed a five-year deal worth $269,085,780 in July 2024, had his allegiance pledged with the visiting team.

Before the kickoff, Cunningham had a sideline interview with “NFL on Prime.” When asked to share his predictions for this game, the Pistons star made a bold comment claiming that Dallas will make it all the way to the Super Bowl.

“We (the Cowboys) are going to the Super Bowl,” Cunningham said. “We’re going to the Super Bowl. That’s how I feel.”

Brian Schottenheimer and his team have had a roller coaster campaign so far. They started the year with a 24-20 loss at the hands of the Super Bowl LIX champions, the Philadelphia Eagles.

However, things have turned in their favor in the past few games. Schottenheimer and his team are currently on a three-game winning streak. Last Thursday, they secured a 31-28 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

In that game, quarterback Dak Prescott completed 27 of 39 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns.

This helped the Cowboys place second in the NFC East behind the Eagles with a 6-5-1 record.

Chris Canty has high praise for Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott

Last year, Jerry Jones and his team gave Dak Prescott a four-year extension worth $240 million. Ahead of Thursday’s game against the Lions, ex-NFL star turned analyst Chris Canty said that the quarterback is worth every penny following his performance this season.

“This season is showing you that Dak Prescott is worth the money that Jerry Jones has paid,” Canty said. “Because he’s been a stabilizing force in the franchise. … Dak Prescott has exhibited the type of leadership you would expect in the midst of a crisis. He’s the guy that has stabilized everything for the Dallas Cowboys. He’s been the constant.

"The way that Dak Prescott played throughout the first half of the season, allowed this part of the season for the Dallas Cowboys to matter. That's the value of having him."

So far this season, the quarterback has tallied 3,261 yards and 25 TDs passing while rushing for 124 yards and two touchdowns.

Following this game against the Lions, the Cowboys are next scheduled to face the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 4 at 8:20 p.m. ET.
